Many enjoy the Adventure Arcade which features a large number of text-based adventures. A number of these adventures are based on novels and can be used in their own right or as a form of revision. These novel-based adventures usually require the player to have a good knowledge of the book in question or even have a copy on hand. There are lots of adventures, though, which are not novel-based, and just need ingenuity and persistence to conquer.
The most popular adventure link, with more than two million visitors so far, is the one based on Tolkien's The Hobbit.
