"Kids, I'm home!" my dad, Adam, shouted.
We both ran quickly to him. He had this really old book with a cover which was made out of wood, with a drawing of a dragon in front of it. It was a huge book and I mean very thick.
"Cool, Dad, where did you get it?" I asked as Mum came into the room.
"I got it from Anthony's Antiqes And Books Store," answered Dad.
"I was going to get it for your birthday, Andrew, but I was afraid that someone might take it. It says inside that the man who wrote this book had magical powers. He drew a magic warp pad. If you touch it, you will automatically get sucked into the story and the only way to get out is to collect 15 crystals and bring them to a Crystal Dragon."
"That's a lie!" I protested.
After dinner, Andy and I took the book into our room to read. We read the book until 9:15pm. We were about to go to bed when Andy turned page and saw the magic warp pad. "Remember what Dad said?" I asked. "You wanna touch it?"
"No way! Noooooooooooo way!" refused Andy.
"Stop being a chicken! Come on!" I ordered. We took a deep breath and touch it. It felt like getting sucked into a tornado! The next thing I knew, we were by a stream, with my brother next to me. I looked up at the sun and a sheet of paper dropped on my face. It was a map!
We got up. Then, suddenly, a dragon appeared in front us!
"Welcome to the world of dragons!" it shouted. "I'm the crystal dragon. You will collect 15 crystals in order to leave this place!" He pointed in a direction. "Over there is the Crystal Valley where you will find all the crystals."
"O..o...ok...ay'' we said, our bodies filled with fear.
We started of to the Crystal Valley. We ran up hills, climbed trees when we were lost, struggled to get up hills and, finally, we reached the Crystal Valley!
There were crystals scattered everywhere. Some of them were camouflaged perfectly. It took us a while to gather all the crystals. We hurriedly ran back to where we'd met the dragon. The dragon appeared in front of us again.
"Well done!! Your reward would be going back to your own world!" congratulated the dragon. He teleported us to a warp pad.
"Once you've gone into the warp pad, your memories in this world will be erased," explained the dragon.
We got sucked in and we both woke up in our beds.
"Kids," screamed our mother, "you'll be late for school!"
