"NOOOOOOOOOO!" Again and again I heard it, and then it started to moan and groan: "Mum, please let me in! Hurry, Mum, let me in, please!"
Someone was outside; it sounded like crying. Someone was in distress! I thought about ringing the police. As I did so the noise, person or thing started to shriek. I screamed and hurried to give my details over the phone. The emergency people said they would be right over.
There was a ringing noise and I figured it must be the door bell. I paused before I opened it wondering what I would see I opened it. It was the police man. I let him in and bolted the door.
We sat quietly, trying to hear the noise. Then I heard it, a scraping noise like fingernails on a blackboard. I turned around to see if the policeman had heard it. He had gone! Instead of a human body, there was some kind of weirdo wearing ripped black jeans revealing slimy green warty legs, and a ripped t-shirt revealing pink arms and chest. Last of all his face was green and also covered in warts.
He started to moan and groan, "Mum, let me in! Please, Mum, let me in!"
