Once there was a poor girl who had two horrible step-sisters, and one horrible step-mother. This girl was called Cinderella. Her step-family made Cinderella do all the work.
All of a sudden, a fairy godmother appeared in front of her. "Hurry up, girl," she sung. "You're going to the ball." " But, but I have no dress!" stammered Cinderella. "Well, you have now!" said the fairy godmother. Cinderella looked down, and saw the most lovely dress, with little glass slippers. The godmother ushered her into a glass carriage, and told her to be back before midnight because then, all her clothes would turn back to normal, and the carriage would turn into a pumpkin. Cinderella had the most wonderful time at the ball and danced with the prince all night. But then she heard the clock strike twelve. As she ran down the steps, one slipper fell off. She couldn't turn back to get it though, because the prince was chasing her. The next day, the prince was going around all the houses and seeing who fitted into the slipper. When he came to Cinderella's house, the step-sisters tried to squeeze their ugly feet into the slipper, but they couldn't. Cinderella tried it on and, of course, her foot fit perfectly! The step-sisters were very jealous. The godmother gave Cinderella plenty of nice clothes, and the prince and Cinderella lived together happily ever after. By Georgia | . |
