Nicky, one of the girls on the quest, was packing her bag when the three others Nicole, Kate and Grace burst through her front door saying they had news as to where the Witch was living. The girls waved goodbye and blew kisses as they set off into the woods.
Six days and seven nights passed with no sign of the witch and they were just about out of food, when they caught a glimpse of something or someone in the bushes. The strange moving thing left footprints on the dirty and dusty ground. They followed the footprints to a little old cottage covered in spiderwebs. They walked over to this little house on the prairie. The house reminded them of the house in the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs except for the spiderwebs.
They pushed open the door which made a creaking and weeping sound standing in the tiny room they saw the Witch of the World. She turned round and round, flying into the air, and she reached forward with her long skinny arms and a blue laser shoot out from her finger nails! The shock sent the girls flying onto the floor. Then a second beam flew out from her fingers, which lifted them into the air then dropped them
to the ground.
The girls stood up; they had aches and pains all over their bodies. Then the witch lowered herself. Kate placed her hands on her back to stop the pain and then she realised she needed to tell the witch they weren't here
to harm her, so that is what she did.
She said, "We come in peace, and need help." Then Nicky added that they were doing a project on her and wanted to ask her some questions.
The witch apologised for her behaviour and was happy to answer any questions. After three hours the girls had to leave; they waved goodbye and set off home.
They reached home and told every one about the time they had had. But that day the kids were taken to the hospital to deal with their pains from the fall.
Then, from that very day, the girls would visit the witch every weekend and bake her cookies.
