| [10] A Warm Welcome The Company finally get to Lake-town. [Take a look at Lake-town] Thorin tells everyone that the King Under the Mountain has returned and everyone is enthusiastic about him being there. Well, everyone except The Master of Lake-town who doesn't want Thorin to take over control of Lake-town. The Master of Lake-town gives Thorin supplies and ponies to help the Company continue to the Lonely Mountain. He hopes Smaug, the dragon, will kill Thorin.

The people wanted to believe Thorin because they all knew the legends of the good old days before the dragon came to the mountain, when the dwarves ruled from the mountain.
The name of the lake was Long Lake.
