1. Davey-Boy Bungleform found himself lost in the forest one day. Davey-Boy

2. wasn’t too worryed, yet, because the sun was still high in the sky and he’d only

3. been lost a short while. He’d been out catching echoes for his auntie when he’d

4. made a wrong turning on the forest path.

5. Five hours later, Davey-Boy was still lost and begining to get anxious. He was

6. even thinking about crying when a small pixie-like creature apeared in front of

7. him. “Hello, little boy,” said the pixie. “What’s rong?”

8. “I’m lost, weird pixie,” replyed Davey-Boy sadly.

9. “Don’t worry about that,” said the pixie, smiling. “Here, wear this special ring.”

10. Davey-Boy looked up and saw an amazeing golden ring in the pixie’s hand. He

11. took it and sliped it on his finger.

12. “It will guide you through the forest, little boy,” said the pixie, “and will also

13. make you invisible.” Davey-Boy thanked the pixie and quickly continued on his

14. way.

15. Many times during the next hour or so, the ring helped Davey-Boy avoid

16. wolves, a bear, and a boogey-monster.

17. But It was getting dark now. Suddenly, he heard footsteps behind him. He

18. stoped. The footsteps stopped, too. Davey-boy started walking again and the

19. footsteps began again. They were getting closer. Davey-Boy began to run.

20. The moon was now out and, as he got to a clearing, Davey-Boy looked behind

21. and, in the moonlight, saw a huge, terrible-looking monster chaseing him.

22. Davey-Boy quickly checked to see if his ring was on his finger. It was! As

23. quick as a flash, Davey-Boy dived to one side, behind a large boulder.

24. He held his breath as he heard the heavy footsteps of the monster plod nearer.

25. “I’m invisible! I’m invisible!” thought Davey-Boy to himself.

26. Suddenly, a huge shadow came around the edge of the boulder Davey-Boy

27. was hideing behind. In the dim light, Davey-Boy saw the monster open its

28. huge mouth. Davey-Boy could see saliva driping from the mouth which was

29. filled with razor-sharp teeth!

30. “I’m invisible!” screamed Davey-Boy.

31. The monster suddenly shape-shifted. There before Davey-Boy stood the little

32. pixie again. “You are invisible,” said the pixie, “to everything except me. Say

33. goodnight, Davey-Boy!” In an instant, the pixie had become the monster again.

34. The monster advanced upon Davey-Boy. The night air echoed Davey-Boy’s

35. last scream, “I’m invisible!” before being suddenly cut off short.
