1.   Choose a story or book you have read recently.  Use a flow map of 5 or 6 boxes (no

        more, no less!) to give a plot summary of your story.  [5 marks]

 

2.   Draw a picture which suits this story (it MUST be an original picture).  Give it a

       border (a line border is OK) and an appropriate caption.  [5 marks]

 

3.   Choose a poem.  You must present it to the class in an imaginative way.  Your

        presentation should show a good level of preparation and rehearsal.  Your reading

        should be smooth with good expression (memorising it would be even better).  You

        Can think of actions, costumes and/or other props.  It's up to you.

4.   Read some horoscopes from the newspaper or some magazines.  Write your

       own make-believe horoscope for one "star sign" (not all twelve "star signs").

5.   Choose a story you would like to read aloud.  Take this story home and read it

       to someone at home.  You must get the signature of your parent or caregiver

       to show that you have actually done this activity.
